When in doubt, listen first and check to see if you have understood the other person by asking them questions. Sometimes repetition is necessary in getting through to someone what is really important to you.

Always show respect. Respect means listening, accepting a no when you are given one, not taking them for granted, being honest in your dealings with them, and not criticizing often or discouraging them. It is also important that you do not try to control others, and just as important that you show respect to yourself and ask that they treat you the same or be willing to walk away.

Know when it isn’t a healthy relationship. Just because you care about someone doesn’t mean you should be in a relationship with them at this time. They should be good for you, not addicted to anything, not controlling or abusive in any way, and make you feel secure and happy. It is not possible to make a relationship work with someone who doesn’t care about you, or who abuses a substance or you, so don’t try.

Seek to be good for others and don’t tear them down. People like to be with those who make them feel good and who are good for them. Lighten up and have fun together and your relationship will grow.

The challenge, of course, is that while there is a great deal of information out there about what social networking is and how it can be used effectively for small business marketing, not all of the information that you read is going to help you to accomplish your business goals. Therefore, the key to social networking is to learn its secrets.

1. Different social networking sites are geared towards different kinds of people. The audience that you find on a page like MySpace where the demographic is mostly younger and entertainment driven is going to be different than on a site like Blog Catalog where business bloggers as well as individual bloggers network to find those who write on similar topics and to learn more about blogging.

2. Different social networking sites have different rules. While it's great to market your business on some sites - to an extent, it is even encouraged - others have a policy that outright states that accounts set up for commercial purposes only will be deleted; likewise, some of the social networking sites that you will come across allow you to have outgoing links from your profile while others do not.

After that Dushashana brought in Draupadi to the hall and wanted to disrobe her in front of all. That time Draupadi called

upon all the elders sitting in the hall including Bhishma to save her. None of them got up. They all kept quite. That was a

sin committed by Bhishma.

Bhishma has been depicted as a man of principals. When he found out that his father was in love with a girl, he vowed that he

would never marry. Bhishma never married in his life. That was his character. Though he could have rightfully become the king

and get married he gave it all away for his father's happiness. It was a huge sacrifice.

Bhishma knew all about what is right and what is wrong. But even then he did not stop or even try to prevent the dice play.

After that when the Pandavas lost, he never said that it was all wrong and the dice play was manipulated. But the worst came

when he kept silent while Dushashana was trying to disrobe Draupadi. Draupadi was a lady from his own family - The wife of

his grandsons. It was his duty to get up and stop all what happened. But he kept quite. As a result during the great war,

Bhishma was hurt and wounded beyond description. He waited for sun to change its direction and suffered alone in the

battlefield with all the arrows stuck in his body. He must have suffered immense pain.

But the law of karma does not leave anybody. Bhishma suffered all this because he did not try to defend a defenseless woman.

He should have got up and put a stop to disrobing and punished all the Kauravas. He did nothing of that kind. That was his
blunder.

Like established communities in the "real" world, communities in the virtual world come together and disband based on common interests, common friends, and common belief systems. Sometimes these online communities evolve as an extension of day-to-day activities, as is the case when students socialize online after school. Other times, communities spring up based on interests in sports, or around how people self-identify, as is often the case with gamers, veterans, and seniors.

As our methods of communication are changing, experts continue to debate the impact that sites like MySpace, Facebook, and MyFaceLive have on the fabric of our society. For example, researchers who have studied why university students use a social network have found that it increases what is termed "social capital." Like the ways in which traditional business networking helps people in their careers, students using such sites have increased access to diverse information and develop more and stronger relationships. Other experts note that, contrary to reports in the media, technology has made people more connected with one another; those relationships have simply moved out of the realm of face-to-face contact and into the online world.

Personally, I am greatful to have PHPFox. It would have taken close to a year and $5000+ to develop the script on my own. The software certainly is not perfect (none I have found is). Even the largest software companies release their software with updates and patches to come later on.

PhpFox has certainly has given my business the ability for a quick entry into a particular niche market. It may not be perfect, but it's by far the best script in it's class that I've seen.

I'm all for social media. I'm very much a part of it. Unfortunately, it seems the goal is digressing back to the poor habits of bad business networking techniques.

The main reason for attending a networking event is to build business. Sadly, some people think the goal is to collect as many business cards as possible. It's not. The objective is to make quality connections with people that can offer or send business your way.

If an attendee leaves a networking event with one hundred business cards and hasn't made a personal connection or impression, what was the value? Why waste the time? She could have easily looked in the phone book for a hundred new names to ad to the mailing list.

My goal is to make 1-3 quality contacts and good impressions at each networking meeting. The chances of follow up and real business are much greater.

Today we have internet social networks. They can be exciting networking avenues. Unfortunately, once again, bad habits die hard and the goal seems to be name or "friend" collecting without really getting to know anyone.

If you want to be a someone on myspace, facebook or Linkedin you need "friends". How much time does it take to collect a thousand friends? How many wasted hours are lost to amass enough friends to help get your blog post on digg's front page. Yes, friends are part of that algorithm too.

As I write this article an old college friend, who I've not talked with in fifteen years, just emailed me. He sent a request to be added to my friends list a couple days ago and this is the first email I've received from him. The email said: "vote for your favorite TV show". What happened to how have you been for fifteen years?

No real communication. That's just as bad as the people who think they are communicating with you by sending you six joke of the day emails.

I have made good connections with old friends, found a little extra traffic to my blog and even shared my portfolio through networking sites. But, additional networking tools are needed to make these sites more valuable. Use some old school methods such as the phone, postcards and standard email to follow up. Ask good questions and build relationships.

I maintain that if you want to play the business numbers game, stop wasting time, buy a list.

If they select a primary social network, they will generate a lot more wastage in their campaign and therefore a lower ROI as the customer base is vast and may or may not be interested in their product. Airlines are one example but there are more companies advertising online each year and everyone is looking for more and more targeted media. This is where the niche social networks will benefit.

Expect a lot more social networking products to be released over the coming years, but watch out for owners working on ways of monetizing them by focusing more on a particular subject or area to as opposed to competing with the big boys for volume.
